Outdoor Education

This 2009-2010 school year the Outdoor Education class will be merged with the Jr. High PE classes rather than offering it as a separate class. The rationale for this move is simple. We want to be able to provide all of our Junior High students with varied activities and different physically active experiences.

Some of the activities that we are planning this year are:
  • Climbing a rock wall
  • Building snow shelters and sleeping overnight in snow shelters
  • Discover Scuba (introduction to scuba diving)
  • Downhill skiing
  • Wilderness survival skills
  • Canoeing/Kayaking

Above is listed some of the activities being planned for this school year. Since most of the activities are out-of-school there will be an associated cost. If you need more information please give me a call at the school.
