Guiding Principles:

  • All parents are expected to contribute financially in order to operate Coralwood Adventist Academy on a sound financial basis.
  • Tuition fees are supplemented by church and Conference grants, and operating grants from the Alberta Government.
  • Registration fees cover, but are limited to: the cost of student insurance (mandatory for all students), video yearbook, memory book, swimming lessons in Elementary, skiing lessons in Junior High, student agendas, textbook rentals and workbooks.
 Registration Fees:
  • Each student (Kindergarten to 9) will pay an annual registration fee of $200 regardless of the date of registration. There is no discount for any additional child from the same family.
  • The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • There will be a 25% discount if the registration fee is paid by May 31 immediately preceding the September to which the registration fee would apply.
  • There will be a review of the registration fee by the Board on an annual basis and it will be published by April of each year.
Tuition Fees:
  • Tuition fees for Grades 1 to 9 for the 20010/2011 school year are $2500.00
  • The regular tuition fee per student will be reviewed by the Finance Committee and the CAA School Board annually. This review will reflect operating costs and revenue expectations of the school.
  • The tuition fee for the second child from the same family attending Coralwood will be reduced by 20% of the regular student tuition fee.
  • The tuition fee for the third child from the same family attending Coralwood will be reduced by 30% of the regular student tuition fee.
  • There will be no tuition fee for a fourth and/or subsequent child from the same family all attending Coralwood Adventist Academy.
 Kindergarten:
  • Children who repeat Kindergarten would pay 75% regular school tuition fee. The Alberta Government provides funding for each child to take the regular Kindergarten program for only one year. In other words, if a child repeats Kindergarten, there is no Government grant to cover the instructional expenses. Students who can receive special needs funding will be dealt with on an individual basis.

International Student Tuition Fee Policy:

International students who do not qualify for the Government operating grant:

  • Tuition fees for each student are $8,450.00 for 2010/2011.
  • Tuition fees for Kindergarten would be 50%.
  • Tuition fees for each student would be the previous year’s fee plus any increase in regular tuition fees and the government operating grant per student.
  • There would be no reduction for siblings.
  • If their status changes and is supported with documentation, the tuition will be adjusted to the regular tuition effective the following month.

It should be noted that Coralwood Adventist Academy does not receive any government operating grants for any student enrolling in either grades 1 – 9 or in Kindergarten after September 30 of that school year.
